Aneurysm is the new audiovisual work resulting from a collaboration between visual designer Kanaka (Andrea Maioli) and double bassist Caterina Palazzi.
The performance is conceived as a surreal journey of blood in the conduits of the brain, alternating between moments of regular flow and moments of abnormal and violent pulsations, eventually resulting in the rupture of a vessel and the flooding of the skull.
The music and images, though not strictly related to the medical theme, transport the viewer into an emotional blood flow of acceleration and braking, smooth and irregular rhythms, gentleness and violence, stillness and storm, life and death.
Also known as the leader of the Italian band Sudoku Killer, a well-known quartet in the European jazz, noise and experimental scene, with which she recorded the three albums Sudoku Killer (ZdM, 2010), Infanticide (Auand Records, 2015), and Asperger's (Clean Feed, 2018) and with which she has more than 700 concerts throughout Europe and Asia to her credit.

Andrea Maioli, born in 1989, has structured his role as Visual designer and New Media artist over time thanks to increasingly intense experiences in the field of multimedia installation, live performance and artistic direction of numerous projects and collaborations both in the artistic and commercial.
