Program

AV Performances

AV performances are the heart of the festival. The programme offers projects that use very different techniques, but at the same time follow a common thread that evolves throughout the day. From video theater to video dance, from live cinema performances to queer culture, from generative art to live coding. The AV performances are organized in collaboration with Live Cinema Festival and Zsolnay Light Festival VIEW DETAILS

VJ-DJ Sets

The VJ and DJ performances represent the background of most of the audio visual artists, Vjs from around the world flock to our screens with colors, stories, and visual rhythms improvising live on the music played from the DJ and viceversa. The best international Vjs are hosted in Rome to show all their talent and their creativity. The VJ and DJ performances are organized in collaboration with Manifesto delle Visioni Parallele for the audio and LPM Live Performers Meeting for the visuals. VIEW DETAILS

Lectures

The lectures are dedicated to listen and learn, drawing upon the theme of audio visuals culture. We explore theories of content production and the processing of images, we study and experiment with new technologies, develop cultural debates about free and open source and learn about the latest news in software and hardware development. Videomapping Installations

Video installations realized with the technique of video mapping, shapes and sculptures come to life thanks to the light of the video projectors, modifying their shape and perception by exploiting the same shape and perception of the surfaces in the space to deceive and surprise the user. The installations are accessible to the public during all the days of the festival during the opening hours of the museum. The Videomapping Installations are organized in collaboration with Video Mapping Mexico VIEW DETAILS

AV Installations

The Audio AV Installations represent an artistic genre closely intertwined with experimentation with digital technologies, as a hybrid artistic practice on the border between sculpture, exhibition and performance, introduces a participatory involvement of the viewer, configuring itself as an environmental work that should not only be viewed frontally but physically crossed and visited. The installations are accessible to the public during all the days of the festival during the opening hours of the museum. The Audio AV Installations are organized in collaboration with Patchlab Festival and Errore Digitale VIEW DETAILS

Lights Installations

By abandoning the stage, light art can come close to the public producing intimate and unexpected modalities of fruition. Video, sound, touch and movement become the new vocabulary of a language dedicated to creation of interactive and perceptual experiences of meaning and image. Interactivity is the key to reading these works, works that investigate well beyond the boundaries of light communication, in order to enable the viewer to interact with them, pushing the senses and confused perceptions of reality and fantasy. The installations are accessible to the public during all the days of the festival during the opening hours of the museum. The Lights installations are organized in collaboration with Athens Digital Art Festival VIEW DETAILS

NetArt Installations

NetArt is the real background of all interactive art we have nowadays, the web was at the end of the last century the first real tool to build an interaction between artists and audience on large scale. The installations are accessible to the public during all the days of the festival during the opening hours of the museum. The net art installations are organized in collaboration with Shockart.net VIEW DETAILS

Workshops

The workshops are dedicated to learning, drawing upon the theme of live video culture. We explore theories of content production and the processing of images, we study and experiment with new technologies, develop cultural debates about free and open source and learn about the latest news in software and hardware development. The workshops are organized in collaboration with Fusolab 2.0 VIEW DETAILS

Workshops for kids

Workshops dedicated to children want to offer to the youngest people the knowledge and manuality of using these new creative tools made available from the new technologies and the creative approach that these tools have created which in some cases is also applicable to productions entirely "analogue". The Workshops for kids are organized in collaboration with Athens Digital Art Festival and Kidsbit VIEW DETAILS
