Audio Visual Digital Art Festival
Summer Edition

A small particle, but able to give rise to all forms of light: the photon is the smallest and brightest fragment of the universe, of microscopic dimensions but of enormous and multiform creative power.

And it is precisely from this concept that the summer edition of FOTONICA is evolving, from 28 of August to the 1 September 2019 at the Palazzo Trigona in Noto, Sicily, Italy.

FOTONICA is a festival that wants to explore the art forms related to the light element in the contemporary context. To consolidate the practice of networking and make system in the field of artistic investigation among the most important of the contemporary, the festival is produced in collaboration with national and international partners.

FOTONICA is a unique festival in the sicilian panorama that boasts a rich program: 29 artists give shape to the most diverse facets of Visual Digital Arts and make them accessible to an ever-wider public.

The initiative is part of the program of Exhibition “IN & OUTSIDER ART” – The power of dreams, the first episode of a project of artistic communication, at the same time exhibition, workshop and elaboration od ideas that aims to eliminate the restrictive and suffocating schemes of languages definitions, to follow the free thoughts of artists and their reading and representation of the present.

Rather than proceeding according to categories of times, places, styles, the choice is of welcoming and presenting deeper affinities, suggestions and fantasies that in a game of mirrors, illuminations, surprising resonances, activate between artists, and between artist and participant visitors, unexpected folgorations.

The exhibition is designed by Niki Ottimofiore for the World Art Bridge in collaboration with the municipality of Noto (SR).

FOTONICA is produced by Flyer, which in 2004 brings together LPM Live Performers Meeting, the largest event in the Audio Visual Arts industry.
