Pandelis Diamantides

Netherlands Amsterdam

Netherlands, Amsterdam
Pandelis Diamantides is an Athenian-born artist, electronic music composer, and researcher working across sound, moving image, and expanded media. His practice explores the relationships between perception, embodiment, participation, and technological mediation, investigating how contemporary technologies influence the ways we experience, interpret, and interact with our surroundings.

His work spans immersive installations, audiovisual environments, sound compositions, and expanded media performances, moving across the fields of contemporary art, performance, and research. Combining sonic, visual, spatial, and computational elements, Diamantides develops environments and experiences in which technology becomes both an artistic medium and a means of examining human perception and presence.

His work has been presented internationally at institutions and platforms including Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (Madrid), Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, MoMA PS1 (New York), MACRO (Rome), EYE Filmmuseum (Amsterdam), V2_ Institute for the Unstable Media (Rotterdam), and Ars Electronica (Linz), as well as at numerous festivals, exhibitions, and cultural venues internationally.

Among his works are Green (2011), Tune In (2012), False Awakenings (2015), In Circles (2017), Go Back to Hiding in the Shadows (2019), Quickly Photographed and Released Unharmed (2020), Drowning (2021), Παλμός (2023), and the ongoing TOPIA series. His practice also includes collaborative projects developed across art, sound, technology, and interdisciplinary research.

Alongside his artistic practice, Diamantides has been active in education and research, lecturing and collaborating with academic and research institutions internationally. He currently leads Studio Pandelis Diamantides, a creative and production platform dedicated to interdisciplinary projects in sound, moving image, and immersive and expanded media.

He is based between Amsterdam and Athens.
