"An optically violent variable quasar (often abbreviated as OVV quasar) is a type of highly variable quasar. It is a subtype of blazar that consists of a few rare, bright radio galaxies, whose visible light output can change by 50% in a day ."
OVV is a new live sound reactive A/V set by S. Olbricht (Farbwechsel records) and Gabor Kitzinger (Glowing Bulbs). It focuses on eye vision abnormalities glitches and extreme light phenomena, reacting morphing on live sound input.
S Olbricht is a producer and co-owner of Farbwechsel Records. He walks on the obscure side of the electronic music landscape and during his restless journey he explores the blurred territories between murky techno and melancholic house combined with ambient sound and abstract rhythms.
Gábor Kitzinger is a video artist, started vjing in the early 2000’s at musical events and joined Glowing Bulbs in 2006. Together they designed several large scale architectural mappings and did numerous vj performances around the globe.
For his solo video art, music videos and sound-reactive A/V shows he usually creates abstract and colorful 3D animations, and also often appears at exhibitions with his stylistically similar sculptures and paintings.
