Music production with Ableton Live
The production of electronic music is strongly connected to technology and its development.
Its evolution starts from the first rudimentary synthesizers and arrives to the applications for computers, tablets and smartphones of our days.
Music production software (DAW) has made the world of production and composition accessible to everyone; some of these softwares have further revolutionized the approach to composition, bringing musicians from study to stage, among the most versatile and revolutionary software we certainly find Ableton Live.
The workshop aims to introduce production and live performance with Ableton Live, offering an overview of music production, especially electronica.
During the workshop the possibilities of production with software and some hardware tools (drum machines, synths, midi controllers) will be explored.
Some of the topics covered:
- sequencer
- sampling
- synthesis
- MIDI
- session view (for live performance)
- arrangement view
- connection of external hardware
