Naja Naja is the latest audiovisual and EP project by Glasgow-based artist Konx-om-Pax. The work brings together electronic music and hyper-coloured 3D imagery within a real-time system in which sound and image are conceived as interconnected parts of the same composition.
Rather than functioning as a predetermined visual sequence accompanying the music, the imagery is generated and manipulated live. Forms, colours, textures and movements respond to the musical performance, allowing the visual environment to evolve together with the sound. Each presentation therefore exists as a live audiovisual process, shaped in real time rather than simply reproduced.
The project extends Konx-om-Pax’s distinctive visual language, characterised by intensely saturated colour, synthetic environments and constantly transforming digital forms. The three-dimensional imagery moves between abstraction and suggestions of unfamiliar landscapes and objects, creating a visual world whose structure remains fluid and unstable.
In Naja Naja, this visual language becomes inseparable from the musical composition. Rhythm, dynamics and sonic changes influence the behaviour of the images, while the real-time system allows the artist to perform with visual material in parallel with sound. Music does not simply provide a soundtrack to the imagery, and the imagery does not merely illustrate the music: both develop simultaneously as components of a single audiovisual experience.
Naja Naja was first presented live earlier in 2026, when Konx-om-Pax premiered the project in Glasgow while supporting Max Cooper. Conceived simultaneously as an audiovisual performance and an EP project, it continues his exploration of the space between electronic music, digital image-making and real-time performance.

- Konx-om-Pax (born Tom Scholefield) is a Scottish electronic musician and graphical artist from Glasgow.
For Tom Scholefield, the language of design and music production cross over.
As a producer, he’s released two LPs on Planet Mu, the first of which was a resolutely melancholy and grainy take on pastoral IDM, shaped by living alone in Glasgow. The result of a move to Berlin and subsequent embrace of more rave tinged signatures, his later releases (Caramel and Refesher) present a fresh take...
