"Design for Collaborative Economy” is the topic of the Product Design Studio 4 of the Master Of Science in Product Design held at La Sapienza University of Rome ( https://web.uniroma1.it/msproductdesign/ ) by the artistic duo Salvatore Iaconesi and Oriana Persico (AOS) and professor Loredana Di Lucchio, exits the classroom to become a workshop/exhibit open to the public.
The course investigates the raise of crypto-currencies, as well as the new forms of organization and services that begin to experiment on the Blockchain ( https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blockchain ): the p2p infrastructure at the base of Bitcoin ( https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitcoin ), the most well-known digital currency in the world.
Since October, students are exploring these emerging sectors, dropping it in the Roman context: a crypto-coin for the Ecosystem of the digital arts&cultures of Rome. 10 real actors have been coupled with 10 groups of students, with the aim of designing their usage's strategies of the crypto-coin.
The festival will be the occasion to showcase the first concept and discuss them with the ten ecosystem's actors, in a collective choral review that transforms the whole process into a public performance.
